GITEX AI Belgrade, the official business and technology event of Expo 2027, launched its SEE 100 programme on 7 October. It will select the 100 most promising technology startups from Southeast Europe to take part in the fair, which runs from 25 to 27 May 2027 at the Belgrade Fair.

What startups get

Selected companies will receive exhibition space, workshops with investors and support organisations, and matchmaking with investors and corporate buyers; organisers plan more than 500 business meetings. Startups can also enter the Supernova Challenge, which includes a cash prize fund. A dedicated fintech category is supported by AIK Banka. Online applications close at 23:59 Belgrade time on 27 November.

The bigger picture

The fair, run by the organisers of GITEX Global with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, expects more than 700 exhibitors and 200 investors. Organisers say 41% of Serbian startups already work with AI. A survey by the Digital Serbia Initiative found that more than 72% of local startups plan to raise external investment this year.
