Editorial Policy

Our journalism rests on accuracy, independence, verifiability and transparency of sources. The editor-in-chief, Kseniia Shaverskaia, is responsible for all published content.

• Every news story lists its sources. When we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we credit and link to it, and we write our own text rather than reproduce theirs.
• Facts and opinion are separated, and opinion is labelled.
• We seek a balance of perspectives and give those criticised a chance to respond.
• No hidden advertising. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly marked.

Photographs

We publish only photographs we are licensed to use: our own, agency photos under licence, or openly licensed images (for example from Wikimedia Commons) with the author and licence credited. We do not copy photos from other media.
