Why We Launched The Serbian Review — and What You Can Hold Us To
Serbia is entering a new political chapter. Readers at home and abroad deserve journalism that separates facts from opinion, names its sources and corrects its mistakes in public.

The Serbian Review exists for one reason: to explain Serbia’s economy, politics and society clearly and accurately to the people who make decisions about the country — entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, diplomats and the diaspora.
We launch in an unusual week. A movement born in grief and protest has won a parliamentary majority, a presidential election is weeks away, and the country’s only oil refinery is operating on a six-week licence. These are the moments when good information matters most and is hardest to find.
What you can hold us to
Every news story lists its sources, with links. We separate reporting from opinion and label each. We publish corrections openly. We do not sell favourable coverage: sponsored content, if we ever carry it, will be clearly marked. We use only photographs we are licensed to publish, and we credit every one.
What we are not
We are not aligned with any party, including the one that has just won. Our job is to describe what governments do and what it costs, whoever is in office.
Tell us what we get wrong — and what we should be covering. — The Editors
